Citizens- In Tenderness

I’m not sure if you’ve heard this song but it makes this pregnant body wanna #highkick!

In tenderness He sought me, weary and sick with sin
And on His shoulders brought me, back to His fold again
While angels in His presence sang, until the courts of heaven rang.

I am so encouraged when I hear this song and yes, I even shed a tear when I reflect His abundant grace.

He died for me while I was sinning, needy and poor and blind
He whispered to assure me: “I’ve found thee; thou art Mine”
I never heard a sweeter voice, it made my aching heart rejoice.

William Spencer Walton penned these words back in 1894.  He was a missionary and evangelist in South Africa who had a heart for the spiritual needs of seamen. He also spent time writing pamphlets and distributed Bibles to English soldiers.

The Citizens from Mars Hill Church from Washington State rewrote this hymn in 2013 and did a phenomenal job kickin’ it up a notch.

Upon His grace I’ll daily ponder, and sing anew His praise
With all adoring wonder, His blessings I retrace
It seems as if eternal days, are far too short to sing His praise.

Take a listen and have your own dance party…

Be encouraged. He has called your name.

In His Grip,

Amy
